How to translate YouTube titles and descriptions in bulk

Import one YouTube video, translate its title and description into multiple languages together, adjust individual fields when needed, and upload the chosen versions.

Translating a YouTube title and description one language at a time creates repetitive work. Every language needs the same video selection, source text, protected names, character limits, and upload step.

The ReTranslate video metadata translator keeps that work in one flow. Import a video once, choose multiple target languages, generate the localized titles and descriptions together, then upload the versions you want to use.

1. Import one video from YouTube

Sign in with the Google account that manages the channel and choose an existing video. ReTranslate imports its current title and description so you do not need to copy them between YouTube Studio and separate translation tools.

ReTranslate imports the selected video and shows its current title and description for confirmation.

2. Check the source title and description

The imported title and description become the source for every language. Correct clear source errors before translation so the same mistake is not repeated throughout the batch.

  • Confirm names, places, products, dates, and episode numbers.
  • Check links, credits, chapters, and disclosure text.
  • Remove expired offers or information that should not be repeated.
  • Mark brand names, handles, and other text that must not be translated.

3. Select all target languages

Choose every language needed for the release. ReTranslate keeps the selected languages together, so the video, source text, and publishing setup do not need to be repeated for each language.

Audience locations, YouTube Analytics, comments, product availability, and campaign markets can help determine which languages belong in the batch.

4. Translate every language together

Generate localized titles and descriptions for all selected languages from the same source. The English fields remain visible beside each translated version, while character counts and editing controls stay attached to the relevant field.

ReTranslate supports multiple AI models, including OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Luna. You can use the model suited to each language and generate an alternative result when a title or description needs different wording.

5. Protect names and fit YouTube limits

Not every part of the metadata should change. Use Don't translate for brand names, creator handles, product models, software commands, song titles, and other text that must stay identical across languages.

Watch the title and description character counts as the text changes length. If a title is too long, keep the subject and the detail that distinguishes the video, then remove secondary wording before removing information that makes the title accurate.

6. Upload the selected languages together

Translation and upload are separate actions. Make any needed field-level changes, exclude a language that is not ready, then use Upload to YouTube to send the selected versions together.

After upload, open the video in YouTube and confirm that the new title and description languages are available on the correct video.

Bulk metadata checklist

  • The correct video and source language were imported.
  • Names, dates, links, chapters, credits, and disclosures are accurate.
  • Text that must remain unchanged is protected before translation.
  • All required target languages are included in the batch.
  • Titles and descriptions fit their YouTube character limits.
  • Only the selected language versions are uploaded.

One import, one language selection, and one upload action replace the repeated setup of translating each YouTube title and description separately.
